또한 Lifeboat 운용 시 주의 사항에 대해 최근의 사례를 바탕으로 설명하며, Lifeboat 조작 시 유의사항과 함께 MOL 내부 절차의 철저한 숙지를 당부했습니다.

He emphasized the importance of emergency response procedures for GCU-related situations and highlighted the role of OJT (on-the-job training) in enhancing crew proficiency with the system.

In addition, he addressed safety precautions related to lifeboat launching, sharing recent cases and emphasizing the importance of understanding MOL’s internal procedures and exercising due care during lifeboat operations.

Osamura san shared recent incidents involving over-speed berthing and lifeboat davit floating (suspension) block failure.
He explained how these accidents happened and pointed out the importance of regular inspection and careful response to prevent such issues in the future.

SFD(Seafarer Division)의 Wendy 상은 승선 중 겪을 수 있는 정신 건강 문제에 대해 설명하며, 실제로 나타날 수 있는 대표적인 증상들과 그에 대한 대처 방법을 소개하였습니다.
선상에서의 업무 스트레스, 고립감, 수면 문제 등 다양한 요인이 정신 건강에 영향을 줄 수 있음을 강조하며, 이를 사전에 인식하고 관리하는 것이 매우 중요함을 설명했습니다.
또한, 자신의 상태를 스스로 점검할 수 있는 단계별 자가 진단 방법을 소개하여, 해상직원들이 조기에 스트레스를 인지하고 도움을 받을 수 있도록 안내하였습니다.

Wendy san from the Seafarer Division (SFD) gave a presentation on mental health issues that seafarers may face onboard.
She explained common symptoms such as stress, isolation, and sleep problems, and shared practical ways to manage them.
Wendy san also pointed out that mental care is very important at sea, as long periods away from family and a busy work environment can affect the crew’s well-being.
Finally, she introduced a simple step-by-step self-check method, so that crew members can recognize early signs of stress and know when to seek help.

Ivan 상은 해상직원들을 위한 평가 시스템에 대해 자세히 설명하였습니다.
평가의 목적, 진급 추천의 기준과 정의, 그리고 공정하고 객관적인 평가 절차에 대해 소개하였으며, 해상직원들이 스스로 이해하고 준비할 수 있도록 설명하였습니다.
또한, 진급 전 Double-riding 기간을 운영하는 이유와 그 목적(직무 이해도 향상)에 대해 설명하며, MOL 전체의 승선자 진급 및 평가 제도 전반에 대해 공유하였습니다.

Ivan san gave a detailed explanation of the sea staff’s appraisal and promotion system.
He explained the purpose of the appraisal, how promotion recommendations are defined, and the steps to ensure fair and objective evaluations.
He also introduced the reason behind the double-riding period before promotion, which helps officers understand their future roles and adjust to leadership responsibilities.
The session provided a clear overview of MOL’s overall promotion and evaluation system for seafarers.

각 사례의 근본 원인을 분석하고, 향후 동일한 지적이 발생하지 않도록 하기 위한 예방 조치 방안도 함께 공유했습니다.

Inspector Mr. Kim from Dongji Shipping shared frequent findings observed during recent Owner’s Inspections conducted on MOL vessels.
He explained the root causes behind each case and introduced preventive actions to help avoid recurrence, offering practical suggestions to support safer and more efficient onboard operations.
